Yes, you can use blogging to make money.

A business that is selling a product must have buyers to make money. It doesn’t matter if it is a bricks and mortar store or a site on the Internet. The bricks and mortar store must advertise to attract buyers. So does the Internet site. The brick and mortar store uses newspaper ads, TV commercials, sign boards, and signs in the windows of the store. Advertising is designed to create in-store traffic. The Internet store must also have traffic to be successful, but it must generate traffic in such a way as to keep the customer on line and not off reading the newspaper or watching TV. Internet Marketing, often called Internet Advertising, is the vehicle used to satisfy this requirement.

Internet businesses construct their web sites to be search engine friendly, so that a potential buyer will be attracted to their site. They also pay other sources for traffic sent to their site. That’s where niche web sites, like a blog, come into the picture. There are numerous ways a blog site can utilize to create traffic for an Internet business. The blog site acts as a broker between the consumer and the business. A blog site earns a share in the money a business spends for advertising. Money spent for advertising is serious money! Blogging sites attract the consumer traffic that businesses need to succeed and then get paid to re-direct that traffic to a business. You can attract that traffic and make money by blogging on a subject that provides useful information. That’s what Internet Marketing is all about. Your site attracts traffic and you send it to someone who will pay you for it. Blogging is a great way to make money and have fun doing it.

There are many different ways to make money on the Internet. A site doesn’t have to be a blog to be successful, but remember the consumer is looking for either a product or information. So unless you are selling a product or a service in a store format, you are an information broker. The blog format works very well for providing information. You can deliver it in small portions and provide useful information relevant to the products or services you are advertising. There are a lot of ways to make money on line, but making money blogging just makes sense.
